Teaching others is one of my greatest passions in life. During the tutoring session, I coach and mentor students and provide direction to helpful resources that will ensure their success in their studies and assignments. As a student who struggled during my first few years of college, before becoming an exceptional student, I resonate with adult learners who need extra help. I am an expert in the financial and administrative aspects of business, and adept at using tools that are required in today’s marketplace.

I have over four decades of experience as a business professional. I worked in all phases of finance in a global manufacturing corporation in the early days of my career--from property and fixed asset accounting, to cost accounting, financial information systems, pricing and control, and insurance, my foundational knowledge in the financial realm is strong. I rose in the ranks of business management and leadership in a variety of industries: banking; CPA Firms; Hospitality Management; Film and Music Entertainment; Financial Services; and Nonprofit Association Management.

I taught Career Development and Resume Writing for Herzing College of Atlanta. I served as the first Director of Workforce Development for the Birmingham Business Alliance, with responsibility for designing workforce development strategies and serving as the Fiscal Agent for the Region 4 Workforce Development Council. Under my leadership as fiscal agent, we launched the Central Six Workforce Development Council. Under my leadership, we provided oversight to career development at High Schools throughout Central Alabama, and provided guidance and oversight support to K-12 institutions in the Greater Birmingham Region, and throughout the entire state of Alabama.

As a young student in Atlanta, Georgia, I rose in leadership for a nonprofit organization, and eventually served as the Regional President of Youth, and finally emerged as a member of the Board of Directors of their National Association. In each of these roles, I became a speaker for audiences of ten to several thousand. I taught Public Speaking at Herzing College of Atlanta. As a Senior Executive for the Birmingham Business Alliance I speak on a regular basis, and make presentations, as part of my role. I am nearing completion of a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, pending graduation in December of 2023. During this program, I mastered the process of making both live and recorded online presentations using PowerPoint and Zoom platforms.
