Bio

I've been involved in one or another aspect of Professional Music for decades. I'm an Audio Engineer with many credits, I taught Audio engineering, with microphones, giant mixing desks, tape machines, outboard gear, etc. and later computers, and especially how to use DAWs like Pro Tools, in which I am certified.

My ear training and knowledge of the craft transcend any style or genre, because all sound has science in common, and if you understand what you are hearing, you can learn why...

I was a long-time foil and epee fencer. I began in college and really got a love for the sport. I competed locally for years, and then began tutoring others. I had three different fencing clubs I was an active participant, and even got nationally ranked by winning a tournament of 46 entrants. I ran my own fencing club for a year, and I must have given hundreds of lessons over the 10 year-or-so I was active. My special interest is how to effect a good combat strategy in bouting, how one should train, avoid/correct their own bad habits, and prep for a particular opponent, including reading body language.
