About Monica

Bio

I am a former NYS state teacher turned home educating mother of six. Working with children for the past 24 years has been the highlight of my life. I have taught in the classroom and one on one. Throughout the years I have worked with a diverse population of students and believe all students have the capability of learning and growing- no matter the label.

I believe students learn through different modalities and will always help my learners discover what that is. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to education. I look at each student as an individual and will help him or her walk the path and gather the tools he or she needs in order to have a successful academic career.

Many times these students had processing issues and as we worked on the processing issues the we saw improvement in reading skills. I have found a multi sensory approach helped in most cases.
