Hi! I'm Melissa! I'm an English teacher and a mom and I look forward to working with you to help you achieve all of your goals.

I have a bachelor's degree with high honors in English, a masters degree in English education, and a teaching certification in 6-12 English. I have taught full time for 6 years as well as working as a substitute teacher for an additional 5 years. I also have almost 10 years of experience tutoring both English and SAT prep.

My specialty is helping students improve their writing through practice, conferencing, and revision. I also have a deep love for literature which I like to share in ways that make it both easy to understand and fun.
