My name is Terry Hanagan, and I have been teaching and/or tutoring math for thirty years. For twenty-three years I worked as a special education, high school, math teacher in public school settings. During that time, I taught elementary math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Currently, I am teaching math and reading to fourth and fifth grade special education students at an elementary school in California. Prior to becoming a credentialed teacher, I tutored math privately and in college math labs. I currently hold a special education teaching credential and a general education multiple subject teaching credential, both in the state of California. I have a BA Degree in mathematics from California State University, Sacramento and a Master's Degree in education from Lesley University, located in Cambridge Massachusetts.

I have always loved working with students to help them develop their understanding of math. I am patient and empathetic when I work with students who are struggling to comprehend mathematical concepts. Additionally, I understand how to break math down into understandable steps until students see the "big picture." It has been my privilege and honor to work with students of all ability levels, including advanced students as well as students who have special needs.
