Hello. My name is Matthew, and I am a medical student about to start my second year of medical school. I am an experienced teacher and I have taught in a variety of settings, and am qualified to teach biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, ACT English and Reading, American and world history, Political Science, and proofreading.

I graduated from Binghamton University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in both Chinese and Russian languages, and during my time at Binghamton, I worked as a teaching assistant of Organic Chemistry for two years. My responsibilities included moderating small group discussion sections, grading student quizzes, and assisting individual students with learning difficult concepts.

After graduating, I worked abroad teaching conversational and written English, American history, and American culture to students ages 7-15. My responsibilities included helping individual students improve their English language skills and designing lessons plans based on the students' skills goals. In addition, I also provided private tutoring for students who wanted to improve their skills with English as a foreign language.

Besides being able to teach science well, I love to help students understand tough topics in American and World history/government, and love helping students improve their confidence.

I love watching my students develop their understanding of new concepts and succeed in their classes. I have had several years of experience teaching and tutoring students in a variety of settings, and I like being able to tailor my lessons to each students needs. I am also a life-long learner, and it is rewarding to refresh my understanding of old concepts while working with my students. Thank you and I look forward to working with you!

MCAT,

MCAT

I am a second year medical student who understands the importance of the MCAT and the best approaches to getting your score goals. My approach involves helping students identify the most tested concepts on the MCAT, in addition to promoting strategies for high-stakes tests such as the MCAT. Furthermore, my approach also helps my students deal with mindset, overcoming burnout, developing test-taking confidence, and motivation. These approaches are extremely important in performing well not only on the MCAT, but also in medical school. Furthermore, my experience with helping students prepare for tests includes teaching my classmates in medical school study strategies for tests including content, and informal MCAT tutoring for friends and family of mine, all of whom saw significant improvements in their scores.
