Learning can and should be fun. I have been teaching, directing, writing and performing for the theatre for over 30 years. I have taught speech, acting, film criticism and debate at the junior high and high school levels and acting, theatre history and voice for the actor at the college level.
I have also written and directed musical plays, one of which was produced in Readfield, Maine,in 1982, starring 17 year old Patrick Dempsey.

Currently I am the program coordinator for a 21st century afterschool program for low performing students.
I, myself, am a kinesthetic learner. If I follow a recipe from a book, I always have to use the book to cook. If someone shows me how to cook something, I never forget it. For that reason, I find theatre exercises and games involving the whole body, to be an effective way of getting the learning not just into the head...but into the body, where it has more resonance and staying power.
