I have been tutoring for over six years and have gained proficiency in working with students with various backgrounds, capacities, interests and personalities. I pride myself on my ability to help anyone in need. I am happy to have developed my most valuable skill: helping other gain confidence in their educational experience.

I have over five years experience as a tutor in the South Bay area. I have extensive knowledge of course curriculum at the local high school level. I have worked closely with 8th- to 12th grade students in the area. I have also worked closely with students around the country, both online and in person when they are in state. I have been able to help them succeed in various college settings and courses, ranging from courses in political science, cultural studies, psychology, anthropology, criminal justice, communications, English, philosophy and much more. Any class where reading material, understanding conceptual theories and writing essays is required: I can help!

I am an educator, but I am also a human being. I understand life can get overwhelming and that issues in one's life can affect academic performance. I have been able to succeed at getting students with various issues back on track with their academics. This is my most rewarding experience.

Additionally, I have extensive experience with college applications, especially in the common application system and the UC application process. I have helped students achieve admission to institutions like MIT, USC, University of Oregon, and various Cal States and UC schools. College applications can be extremely daunting. It is so important to start off on the right foot.

I have taught philosophy course at San Diego State University during my time there, including Philosophy 101: Critical Thinking.

The greatest reward a teacher or tutor can receive is when a student realizes their potential. I love to see a student succeed and overcome adversity.
