Hello! I'm Christine and I am available to tutor folks from ages 10-100.

I am a college professor and my favorite part of the job is working 1 to 1 with my students! Before I started teaching, I was a swimming coach for several years. This is relevant because I bring my positive coaching spirit into our sessions. I am here to support you through your struggles, problem-solve together, and celebrate your successes. I know from experience that every student can succeed.

I have over 20 years of experience teaching all stages of the writing process (generating ideas, drafting, revising, editing; sentence and paragraph-level work as well), the reading process (from beginning/developing to advanced reading skills), and literary studies (including close reading, analysis, and theory). I also am licensed to teach grades 5-12 in Massachusetts and have experience working individually and in small groups with middle and high school students. (I am also the mom of a middle schooler and high schooler and am very familiar with curriculum on that intimate level.)

I am comfortable providing materials for us or working with materials you bring to our session.
