My tutoring experience started in grade school when I would voluntarily help younger classes with math. I loved seeing my peers get excited when that dauting math problem finally made sense. Fast forward to college where I served as a tutor for many classes including: biochemistry, general chemistry, biology, and human life sciences. During this time, I would vary my sessions between 1 on 1 tutoring and small group sessions depending on what is best for my student. My expertise grew in medical school where I was in charge of running small group sessions with anywhere from 5-20 students and tutoring students privately. After graduating medical school, I have taken up tutoring full time where I currently enjoy tutoring anything in the life sciences (biology, anatomy, physiology, and etc) as well as USMLE step 1and 2. I have experience breaking down questions and questions stems that allows us as a team to achieve the correct answer. I have many years working with NBME and USMLE style questions and love helping future collegues.
My education started at a small liberal arts college where I earned my BS in Biochemistry while perusing multiple research projects. While attending college I was a very active member of the TA committee and worked with countless students in biology an chemistry. From there I attained my MS in biomedical sciences followed by medical school where I have earned my MD. During medical school I was a part of the medical scholars program that I would both mentor and tutor students in foundations and in preparation for USMLE step 1 and 2.
