I have been living and working abroad in the field of education for the last twelve years and therefore have vast international experience and a truly global worldview. I have taught ESL in five different countries and have also designed an English curriculum for K-12. I have taught public speaking and designed a variety of public speaking evaluations. I have expert knowledge of English grammar and writing as I have written extensively myself. I have a BA Degree in History and have continued reading and studying history since graduation. My senior thesis was about the Russian Revolution and I have learned about the history of every country I have lived and worked in. I have an expert knowledge of Ethiopian History and have read and written extensively about the subject.
My previous students would say that I am very approachable and easy-going and ready to help at any time. I love to see my students improve themselves and achieve their goals. I want my students to feel free and open to express themselves and no question is off-limits. I want my students to challenge themselves and be open to learning new things and experiencing new things.

I have taught every level of ESL from beginner to advanced and I've designed lessons covering everything from vocabulary to reading to grammar to writing. I know lots of fun activities and games that make the lessons memorable.

I love history and love to see students learn new things about the past. We can't truly understand where we are until we understand how we got here and we have to study the past to find solutions to the problems of today. I have traveled all over the world and know a lot about world history and have visited many important historical sites. I can help you understand all aspects of history and other related subjects.
