CPA EXAM

I sat for all 4 parts at one time and passed all on the first try. I scored in the top 10% of all CPA candidates. Formerly, I was an accounting professor who taught intro, intermediate and advanced financial accounting.

Almost all of my REG students pass on the first try after they begin tutoring with me. I take the complex topics and break them down into easy-to-digest (and remember) steps.

All of my FAR students tell me they finally understand the material for the first time. Almost all of my FAR students have passed to date. I make the difficult topics into easy-to-solve problems. I also help condense the very thick FAR review book and keep students on track to pass with a study plan.

LSAT

I graduated from Cornell Law School and worked as a BigLaw attorney for 8 years. All of my LSAT students improve their score after tutoring with me.

I customize review of the LSAT practice tests for each student. In addition, I review and assign LSAT subject matter reading and materials. For example, the LSAT has many animal-nature related questions. For students weak in this knowledge area, animal behavior specific readings and materials will be assigned. Such familiarity and background knowledge helps students read more efficiently and ultimately feel more comfortable. (A big part of the LSAT is about being in the right head space!)

After practicing for numerous standardized exams, I innately understand what answers the LSAT test makers consider correct. Importantly, I can also immediately spot the "trick" answers. During tutoring sessions, I analyze a student's strong and weak points to determine which types of questions to focus on.

Thoughtful, Knowledgeable Tutor.

Liz is so helpful!! - she takes the time and effort necessary to understand how each student thinks, and then curates/tailors a curriculum specific to their individual needs.
