Hello students and families, my name is Sierra. I am a professionally certified secondary math teacher. I specialize in all things algebra from the very introduction of variables to pre-calculus. I have taught both middle and high school level math classes in my career as a classroom teacher in Denver, Colorado. I have also been a personal math tutor both in person and online for over 5 years.

I earned a bachelors degree in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and also a masters degree in mathematics education from the University of Denver. I hold a current professional teaching license in mathematics with the added endorsement in culturally and linguistically diverse students.

My passion is to see the light and excitement in my students as they reach an Ah-ha moment. I know how to teach the methods for solving problems both in common core and in the more “traditional” ways that many adults were taught.
