I love the confidence and self-esteem gained from learning new things. As a result, I enjoy sharing knowledge with others because I want them to feel confident as well. I enjoy tutoring so much more than teaching because I can pass on the learning to others without having to give a grade! The one-on-one "light bulb" moment is a joyous occasion at any level of learning.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Education (2013), a Masters of Arts in Teacher Leadership with Technology emphasis (2017), and a Rank I emphasis with duel credit math (2023). I have math teaching experience in: Response to Intervention, 6th, 7th, 8th, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus. I coordinate and tutor in the after school program in my district.
I am a "nontraditional educator" because I did not get my teaching degree right out of high school. I was on scholarship at Morehead State University in 1992. I was distracted from my career path for a number of years. During this time, I held various jobs from restaurant to factory work. My husband and I have been married for over 20 years and we own a cattle farm. My most important job was as a stay-at-home mom for 7 years during my children's formidable years. Once I knew my own children were going to be successful, I proceeded to finish what I started. While working 3rd shift at a factory and helping my children keep good grades, I restarted and completed my coursework to becoming a certified teacher.
Because I have a variety of different experiences, I can apply math concepts in many different ways to make learning easier. I will bring the same level of passion and commitment that I applied to my personal and my children's goals to help you complete your goals as well! I love solving problems. I will be available on most nights and weekends. Please contact me if you have any questions or want to schedule an appointment.

Geometry help

My daughter had a great first session with Cindy! She made her feel at ease while going through some of the topics that she had a hard time understanding. She said, Cindy is a great teacher, I understand more learning from her than my own teacher 😁She’s looking forward to seeing her again this weekend. Thanks Cindy!
