My name is Nichole and I have been a registered nurse for 15 years. I started out my nursing career as a nursing assistant when I was a teenager, and obtained my associate’s degree then bachelor’s degree in nursing. I recently graduated with my master’s degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner. I love nursing and could not imagine myself doing anything else!

I love sharing my knowledge and teaching others just as much as I love nursing. Although I have never fulfilled an official tutoring role, I have spent about 13 years of my nursing career as a preceptor to nursing students and new employees. I accommodate all learning styles and have a knack for breaking things down so they are easier to understand. My extensive experience allows me to help students gain a deeper understanding of the material and to teach critical thinking skills through application of the learned concepts.

With 3 nursing degrees and 2 specialty certifications (oncology and medical-surgical), I have developed strong test-taking skills and can teach that skill to other students. My extensive experience—including home health, Hospice, medical-surgical, telemetry, intermediate care, critical care, wound care, and management—makes me especially qualified to tutor nursing.
