Marissa is a medical student at the University of New England College of Medicine. Before attending medical school, Marissa attended Binghamton University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Neuroscience with minors in Education and Spanish and a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Leadership and Consulting.

Marissa has experience as a Professional Development Advisor where she guided undergraduate and graduate students in their pursuit of applying for employment, internships, graduate/medical school, resume/CV building, interview preparation, and personal statement writing. Marissa was also a Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II, Intermediate Spanish, and the Emergency Medical Technician - Basic courses. Marissa has worked in emergency services as a Field Training Officer where she taught students how to be an independent EMS provider for several years.

Marissa is passionate about helping students achieve their "light bulb moment" where difficult material begins to make sense! Marissa likes to work with students to find what teaching style best suits their needs to provide a greater understanding of the material.
