Simply The Best!

Juliya is the best Russian teacher I have ever had! Her lesson plans are very organized, and creative. During our meetings, we have discussions in Russian. I feel so calm and confident during her lectures and I am never afraid to make a mistake. During our discussions, she writes down whatever mistakes i may have, and sends methe correct discussion in proper grammatical form. She is very patient, sweet, kind and considerate. She always puts her students first! We learn together the science of speech. Every assignment we have done together has been very productive and fun at the same time! I would recommend Juliya for anyone who wants to learn Russian on a university level, or for anyone looking to strengthen their Russian skills in day to day life. For example, traveling to Russia on business or to any Russian speaking country. I recently traveled to Belarus, and thanks to Juliya, I was able to confidently communicate with the public. I am so grateful to have found such a professional like Juliya!

Juliya is an incredible tutor, who asks exactly the right questions and explains nuances clearly. I have studied Russian for a few years and speak at an advanced level. Juliya was able to tailor the lessons expertly to my learning goals after only one session. An hour lesson with Juliya flies by as we cover dictations, conversation practice, grammar review, and still have time to explore finer details - such as sensing formal versus informal style, slang, and common phrasings. The best there is!

Juliya is not only the best tutor that I've ever had the pleasure of working with, but she is also one of my greatest instructors overall! To further elaborate, I need to express the fact that Juliya has been teaching me the Russian language entirely from the ground up. Other than when I once attempted to learn the Russian alphabet via the internet, I had virtually no prior knowledge of the Russian language before I signed up for lessons. And, let me tell you, it is extraordinarily valuable to have an avid and experienced native Russian speaker guide you through the language, step by step and in person; I cannot exaggerate how crucial this is for someone like me who wishes to learn Russian from the ground up. Juliya is a very gifted teacher who is very patient, adaptive, understanding, and knowledgeable. Juliya paces her lessons well and is very attentive and receptive about if/when any confusion or questions arise. She is such a magnificent teacher, in fact, that in less than ten Russian lessons I've already learned the following: The Russian alphabet, to count up to the thousands, read/write basic Russian, and to carry basic conversation - which is very impressive considering that I had little to know knowledge of the Russian language prior to our lessons! I am currently in the process to expanding my vocabulary and am refining my knowledge of gendered/neutral words in order to have more advanced conversational exchanges - all in such little time! My conversational skills are evolving so quickly that I've even purchased a Russian keyboard so that I may read/write online with ease. When comparing self-taught Russian language methods to taking lessons from Juliya, I've gone from 0-100. I've learned more in 7-10 lessons than I could have possibly dreamed and am having a blast! Who knows what the next lessons have in store for me!

Very professional and patient.

Like the title, she is a professional Russian language teacher. She knows how to teach step by step and when you tell her your level and what level you want to reach, she will schedule a plan for you. I think that's the main reason why I need a private teacher instead of self learning. I am Chinese, English is my second language, She always teaches me Russian words and alphabet with vivid English explanations and she always encourages me to learn more. Not only in class, she also sends me some links to upgrade my Russian speaking off the class. So, I am still learning Russian from her every week and I am enjoying it.
