I am a musician and music teacher based on southeast Michigan. I have earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Trumpet Performance and a Master of Music in Music Theory from Michigan State University. I have a strong passion for pedagogy in both fields, having experience teaching trumpet at all levels, and working with music theory students, including in private tutoring, at the university level.

Throughout my musical career, I was always aware of the impact quality instructor from caring teachers and tutors had on me, so I have made pedagogy a priority in an effort to give back and pay forward the knowledge I've acquired so far. It brings me great joy to help a student progress and develop in a subject in which they are passionate.

My mixed background in musical performance and music theory has given me a unique and highly effective approach to pedagogy. Whether helping students gain a deeper understanding of what they are hearing, or refining technique, I approach tutoring with great enthusiasm and breadth of musical knowledge.
