Hello! I’m Felicia. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, and enjoy sharing my love of Spanish with others! While in college, I spent a year living and studying in Ecuador, and had the opportunity to travel all over South America. I attended university classes which were all in Spanish, and lived with a family who did not speak English. Hello! I’m Felicia. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, and enjoy sharing my love of Spanish with others! While in college, I spent a year living and studying in Ecuador, and had the opportunity to travel all over South America. I attended university classes which were all in Spanish, and lived with a family who did not speak English. Between living, studying and traveling abroad, I had the opportunity to learn Spanish at a deeper level. I bring my love for Latin American cultures as well as a thorough understanding of the language to my work as a tutor. I have a firm understanding of grammar and syntax, and am able to adapt my lessons on-the-spot to meet the unique needs and learning style of each student.

After college I taught English as a Second Language in a community center. It was there that I discovered my ability to adapt lessons, create new and innovative materials, and find creative ways to teach. As a Spanish tutor now, I focus on High School Spanish, College Spanish, and Spanish for adults. However, I have worked with young children and middle school students as well. I create lesson plans for each person using wide a variety of materials, including a curriculum for adults that I have personally developed. I am always thorough and ensure that you understand a concept before moving on to the next.

I am patient and perceptive, and take an individualized approach to teaching. I go above and beyond for all my students! This includes creating practice materials just for you, if needed. My ability to personalize lessons is one of the many things that make me an excellent Spanish tutor, and set me apart from others. I have hundreds of informational materials and practice exercises on-hand which I am happy to share.

She is very flexible in her lesson plan to accommodate what I need deeper help with and is very good at explaining things on a deeper level. She has helped me bring up my Spanish grade tremendously and is very patient with me.
