Bio

I taught Economics to eighth graders one hour per week through Junior Achievement for one semester when employed with an international corporation.

I coached U6 to U19 soccer for 12 years and Babe Ruth baseball for 1 year. I was also a soccer Commissioner for 15 years and Director for a 3 year term.

I also have experience writing software for Automated Clearing House (ACH) electronic transmission of information and money. I wrote the Cash Management computer system now used by an international corporation. I wrote the software to interface Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) data to the mainframe computer.

I have studied American History extensively, especially the American Civil War.

I have 23 years experience as a middle school and high school football official. I have 20 years experience as a middle school, high school, and summer league baseball umpire. I have 12 years experience as a middle school and summer league basketball referee.

I wrote financial applications for 25 of those years including Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Cash Management. Many of these COBOL programs were written in CICS and some with DB2. I also have experience with VSAM, JCL, IBM utilities, documentation, Agile project methodology, ACH and MICR.

I have 20 years experience umpiring baseball at the middle school, high school, and summer league level. I am a member of the TSSAA. I take a qualifying exam at the beginning of each season that it has been required. I attend the state meeting once a year and all of the required meetings of the CCUA before the season begins. During the baseball season, I typically umpire 5 nights a week, weather permitting.

I take a qualifying exam at the beginning of each season that it has been required. I attend the state meeting once a year and all of the required meetings of the MTBOA before and during the season. During the basketball season, I typically referee 2 nights a week.

I have 23 years experience officiating football at the middle school, high school, and fall league level. I am a member of the TSSAA. I take a qualifying exam at the beginning of each season that it has been required. I attend the state meeting once a year and all of the required meetings of the CTNFOA before and during the season. During the football season, I typically officiate during the week with fall league games on Saturdays.
