I'm Peter. I was born in Michigan but had the unique opportunity to grow up in California and graduate from high school overseas. I moved back to the United States and graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2006. There I earned a Bachelor's degree in History. I then went to Eastern Michigan University and earned a Master's degree in History with a secondary focus on European History in 2009. In 2011, I graduated from Madonna University with a second Bachelor's degree, this time in Broadcast & Cinema Arts. One thing that I have noticed each of these educational experiences have in common is that the further along I went, I developed a stronger passion for history. Additionally, I could not achieve this passion without seeking the help of others. My motivation to tutor students is to help give back to others who are in the same position that I was once in.

I am an experienced tutor. While a student at Eastern Michigan, I tutored history for four semesters with Upward Bound. I helped these high school students, from all walks of life, who were from disadvantaged backgrounds. While many of the students developed an appreciation for history, all of them needed helped in math and science as well. I would not limit myself or keep them discouraged. I pulled all of my knowledge together to support their learning needs. The one thing that we all had in common was a desire to see an increase in grades but most importantly to see each student achieve their dreams of attending college. My experience is not limited to high school students. At Madonna University, I tutored for two semesters at the Writing Center. I helped college students, from various majors, improve their grades by focusing on writing quality papers and essays. I am truly blessed to have been a positive influence on others in their learning endeavors.
