I have been a teacher for over forty years, working with students who have gaps to fill to improve their classroom skills, as well as students who want to go beyond the math curriculum presented by their teacher. I have taught learning disabled students and students with attention deficit conditions. Although my instruction was mainly in the classroom, I have also done tutoring with students in their homes. I am proud to admit that all students received a tailored instruction just right for them and have shown growth and have greatly benefitted from my work with them. I have a style that is encouraging and is non threatening to those students who have had negative experiences in math instruction.

What is special about my work is that I have the experience and skills suitable for either designing a math program that is unique for each child or by following the school based math program in place for that child. I instruct in a way that does not duplicate the method of instruction offered in the classroom. I provide an alternative approach to what is being taught. Often students do not need to hear the same lesson repeated exactly but instead, they need to hear the lesson offered in a new way to provide success.
