Hi everyone! My name is Pratyusha, and I am a current undergraduate studying Biomedical Engineering at Cornell University. Throughout my academic journey I have been able to take an abundance of courses that have strengthened my knowledge in core areas such as English, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Science. With this background and a passion for teaching, I am well-equipped to help students excel in these subjects. I have honed my passion in scientific research through various research papers, personal and professional research experiments. I am well-versed in mathematics through the classes I have taken as a part of the STEM Magnet program at Montgomery Blair High School. I have taken Analysis 1, Multivariable Calculus, and Differential Equations. Therefore, I am willing to ensure your child will have a better grasp on difficult concepts, and will be able to identify different applications of the problems.

I understand that math can be a challenging subject for many students, and I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages active participation and boosts confidence. I have worked at creating curriculums targeted towards breaking down complex ideas, and having kids think about the problem in smaller pieces, allowing them to truly understand the concept as a bigger picture easily. I have tutored for the past four years in computer science, mathematics, science, and engineering and have gained valuable experience in teaching, especially at CCACC Academy. I have taught kids from K-8, and have experience in maximizing their short attention span to teach them the concept they need to learn. I have done this by adapting to each student’s level of knowledge and harnessing this in the creation of my classwork and lessons. This has also been supported through my activities in Math Honor Society. My patience, adaptability, honesty, and compassion all work towards helping students reach their academic potential.
