While not a perfect student at first, I pride myself in my ability to adapt my learning style to the course I am taking. This strength translates to my success as a student across disciplines where teachers and teaching styles differ tremendously. I particularly enjoy mathematics and the natural sciences because of how interconnected each subject is. Through my degree and my research at the SLU School of Medicine and School of Science and Engineering, I have first-hand experience viewing the impact that interdisciplinary education can have on learning, analysis, and critical thinking. As a tutor, I aim to help my students develop habits and skills that support learning throughout their lifetime. This includes learning discipline, problem-solving, and abstract thought processes. After all, the goal is always to build confidence in engaging in the real world!
Outside of school, I am a huge fan of sports and music. I play tennis and basketball with my friends, and I swim and lift throughout the week. I was also heavily involved in a cappella music at my university, where I have served as my team's music director for the last 3 years. Musical composition and creation is a passion and hobby I hope to continue for the rest of my life.
