I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA, where I also minored in Spanish. Following this, I pursued a Master of Arts in Hispanic Studies at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, although this program is currently incomplete.
My teaching and tutoring experience is varied. As a graduate assistant, I worked as a Spanish Instructor at the Department of World Languages at Louisiana State University, where I was responsible for developing lesson plans for Spanish 1101. This role involved creating, administering, and grading various assignments, quizzes, and tests, focused on meeting diverse learning objectives. I used different methods to teach Spanish to engage students and facilitate an interactive learning environment.
Additionally, I have experience as a Spanish Tutor, also at LSU, where I conducted one-on-one tutoring sessions. These sessions were focused on providing personalized feedback and helping students identify their strengths and areas for improvement in language acquisition.
Furthermore, my involvement in the Teaching Mentorship Program at LSU allowed me to work closely with a Spanish instructor, grading and even teaching some lessons. This experience allowed me to improve my teaching skills,
I have worked primarily with college students. I'm experienced in teaching in a classroom setting and in one-on-one sessions.
