I hold a First-Class Honors Degree in Mathematical Sciences from the Open University in the United Kingdom and a degree in Psychology from University of Northumbria in the UK. I was accepted into membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, having completed and passed all course modules and gained professional experience with KPMG. After passing the early Society of Actuary exams, I became a Private Coach and have continued in this role for the past 12 years. I tutor students from Grade 3 to Grade 12 and onwards to undergraduate and postgraduate level.. Areas of expertise include Accounting, Actuarial Science, Finance, Real Estate Finance (Argus Certification), Statistics, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus (AP-AB and BC), Calculus 1, 2 and 3, Financial Mathematics, and SAT Math. I can also help you prepare for the ASVAB, PSAT, SAT, ACT, SSAT, SHSAT, ISEE, GRE, SAT subject tests in Math (I and II), GRE, and the GMAT. I have experience tutoring students with autism, ADD, ADHD, and other learning problems.
I focus on making you think for yourself and develop flexible mastery, leading you step by step in the right direction and without giving you the answers. I’ll help you to put all of the material into perspective, and help you to better understand the tips and tricks that you have learned, so that you will be able to apply the appropriate technique to each new problem that is presented. I also provide much more individual feedback than could be possible in a large classroom, so that time spent with me is much more productive. Whether you have taken a class before, or if you have just been working on your own, I can help you improve your score. With guidance and practice, the examination becomes a challenge you can meet with a level head. When you walk into the test center, feeling confident and prepared, you know you will do your very best.

Actuarial Science,

Actuarial Science

Over the past 10 years, I have been successfully tutoring students in the early Society of Actuary and Casualty Actuarial examinations. I have reached Associate status with the SOA. Current students are taking Exam S for the CAS. Most students find that passing P1 and FM are sufficient to gain an actuarial trainee position by which time their education is fully funded. I can advise on getting that coveted first actuarial job. I also tutor candidates for the VEE portion - Corporate Finance, Economics and Linear Regression. I can also help you get up to speed in the necessary calculus, finance, statistics and probability background if you are a little rusty. I have a long background in Finance, mathematics and statistics. My early background was working as a Chartered Certified Accountant. I reached a fellowship status in 2006. I qualified with KPMG, working as Audit Manager in the Caribbean.

Superior teaching ability and highly intellectual

Edward explained everything clearly. I have trouble with math and he really broke through to me. I am very appreciative and would recommend him to anyone in need of help. He is not only highly intelligent but also breaks complex and ordinary problems down into simple language and makes it very understandable. Edward is not only extremely smart but also a skilled teacher whose methods are unparalleled.
