Welcome Students! My name is Mrs. Paula E. I am excited to start this education journey with you! I have been teaching for 20 years! I am a Certified English Teacher, with additional teaching experience in Math, Science, and History. I create custom lesson plans to fit the learning needs of my students. I specialize in helping students set and reach their educational goals. I also have vast experience teaching students with special abilities! I have helped a variety of students with learning disabilities achieve their education goals.

I believe teaching is all about the learner. Therefore, I specialize in engaging my students during a lesson. I like to engage my students with humor, creative/dynamic lessons, and a strong presence while teaching. Another key aspect to engaging  my students and improving their learning is to treat each student as an individual, by being empathetic and understanding of their educational needs and goals. I will communicate and listen to my students, as well as provide them with feedback based on their educational goals. Finally, I practice patience and kindness while teaching, in order to motivate students. 

I encourage self-learning in the classroom through increased peer to teacher learning. I ask students to question rather than simply have the answer given to them. I create an educational experience that promotes self-discovery and develops problem-solving skills, which  leads students to developing a much deeper understanding of the topic. I provide differentiated instruction, lecture-based instruction, technology-based learning, group learning, individual learning, inquiry-based learning, kinesthetic learning, game-based learning and expeditionary learning.
