In all my years of teaching, I've learned where students usually stumble, and I've found easy ways to explain those tricky bits. I try to connect theory to the real world to make things interesting. And I always find a way to show how what they are learning is important in science, engineering, or everyday life.

And I always find a way to show how what they are learning is important in science, engineering, or everyday life.

For the past 14 years, I've been teaching Physics, Math, Astronomy, and Engineering to college freshmen and sophomores. At the same time, I've been tutoring in a 1-on-1 setting, middle and high school students in Math, Physics, coding and SAT prep for almost two decades. Over the years I have won many awards such as the "Kaplan Award" and the Rolf's Award for Teaching Excellence.

I'm a Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Physics.

Apart from all the academic stuff, I like flying RC planes and strumming the guitar. I love spending time with my wife and two daughters.

So, if you have any questions or need some help with your studies, just drop me a message. I'd be thrilled to help you improve your grades, or test scores. Can't wait to hear from you!

Best Tutor for Physics and Mechanical Engineering

I wish I could give 10 ***'s to Professor Tripathi for how good a tutor he is. Professor Tripathi has been tutoring my daughter for Physics and Mechanical Engineering for the past six months and the change in my daughter's academic performance and confidence level has been amazing. I first contacted Dr. Tripathi when my daughter was freaking out due to falling behind in her Physics classes with teachers who did not explain anything. She had tons of homework and exams piling up. Dr. Tripathi calmly explained a few concepts and a few solutions to my daughter and within 40 minutes she was already feeling much better. He helped her finish Physics and Statics homework and prepare for tests on both subjects which she got A- on both. Since then he has tutored her on and off on Physics, Statics, Dynamics, thermodynamics etc. and he has been simply amazing. He is so patient and kind. He can quickly jusdge the point the student is misunderstanding and he explains it in a very short, precise, clear and to the point manner. His love for the subjects is contagious. My daughter loves Physics now. I wish that every parent and student would benefit from his awesome knowledge and ability. If anyone wants to know more about my experience with Professor Tripathi's tutoring, you can ask Dr. Tripathi for my number and I will be happy to talk.

Hi Anna, thank you so much for the wonderful review you wrote. I really enjoy teaching your daughter. Making students feel confident in Physics so that they enjoy the process of learning and problem solving, is my goal always. Thank you for joining the Wyzant platform on my request. I hope you will enjoy the Wyzant tools more than the other platform I was using to teach your daughter.

AP Physics 1

Very detailed and punctual. Swapnil asked to see class material a day in advance so he could look over it. Physics teachers all have a different solving method but Swapnil manages to understand all of them. I would definitely continue lessons with him.

Most patient tutor Ive ever had

I was honestly ready to give up mid session but Swapnil was incredibly patient. He reworded what he was trying to explain and the lightbulb just clicked. Such a great tutor and would be a great addition to your academic team!!

amazing

He is very clear and helps the student very well. I have learned tremendously in just the few sessions I have had

Tutor responded:

Thank you so much. I am always glad to hear when I can help students improve their understanding and class performance.

Explains AP Physics concepts very effectively and efficiently

Swapnil helped me go through my AP Physics lessons at a very fast rate while still helping me understand the concepts. This was very helpful as it was previously taking me a lot longer.

Sentha, 8 lessons with Swapnil
Tutor responded:

Thank you. I am glad you found my style helpful and that it helped you cover large portions of the AP physics material at a fast rate. I try my best to convey key points in a precise and clear way.

Exceptional tutor

He is very patience. Student trust tutors are are patience. My son enjoys the sessions and look forward to it every week. We are glad to have him as my son's tutor. Thank you Swapnil.

Great Tutor!

Had a need to understand some tough Statics problems before an exam. Swapnil was superb; he helped so much. Will definitely be seeking his services again in the future!

Thank you. I am glad to hear my teaching helped you. I look forward to keep helping you with your courses in future.

Creative and patient professor

Today was my first lesson with Swapnil. We were scheduled for only an hour, but after the first hour, I decided to keep him longer because he was helping me to grasp concepts in top, front, and end views in Mechanical Engineering. Unlike other tutors, since Swapnil is a teacher and not a student, he explains more in-depth and can explain a concept in several ways. Creativity must be his most important quality. For example, he explained angles in isometric objects from engineering and mathematical perspectives. He is good with mathematics, too. Altogether, our lesson time stretched to 3 hours, and I could luckily understand him and his teaching. I will hire him again in the near future.

Kailee, 2 lessons with Swapnil
Tutor responded:

Hi Kailee, Thank you so much for the detailed review. I am so glad my unique graphical methods and in depth explanations helped you better understand the material. As you can see I have expertise in many different subjects and I like to approach the topics from many different angles to see whichever way suits the student's unique prior knowledge to help them learn the new material.

Knowledge and patient tutor

Swapnil tutored my child physics. He is good in explanation with patience. My child understand better after his lessons. Swapnil is a great tutor. Thank you. David

David, 4 lessons with Swapnil
Tutor responded:

Thank you for your Kind words, David. Your son Gregory is indeed learning high level physics for being in high school That level of Physics is taught at college level in some states. I am happy to support him in this endeavor.

Excellent instructor

Professor Swapnil was outstanding at explaining physics to my son. He came away more confident and said he had a great session and would like to tutor w/ him again which says a lot coming from a 13yo boy. We look forward to more lessons.

Jennifer, 3 lessons with Swapnil
Tutor responded:

Hi Jennifer, thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure teaching your son. He is curious, smart and respectful. I would love to tutor him again.
