I never fully joined the ranks of Public Education, preferring to work in the private sector and without so many strictures and paperwork. I do believe in discipline, of course. You can't learn much without it. There are many ways, however, to implement it. I favor one that directly activates the curiosity and joy of learning something. The type of instruction should be tailored to the student.
Originally from Montana, I've lived and worked in Seattle, New York City, LA, Santa Fe. Helena is my hometown.
