Thank you for your interest in hiring me as a tutor for your, or your loved one’s, betterment through continued education. I have a passion for assisting others in bettering themselves and believe that is done best through education. I have a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts with majors in English in History at Alma College, and I am presently furthering my education at Northern Michigan University in pursuit of a Master’s Degree in English Literature and Pedagogy. The disciplines I study situate me well to assist others in improving their reading and writing skills at any level.

I have experience as a writing tutor through my undergraduate school’s Writing Center. At the Alma College Writing Center I not only proof-read student’s papers, but, in addition, pointed errors in grammar, style, and logical structure out to the student and worked with them until they could resolve the issues on their own in the future. My ambition in educating anyone is to enable them to improve themselves. If a student walks away learning something that they had not known previously I consider it a good day.
