I have been a public school teacher for 20 years. I have experience teaching grades 5th-9th as well as Algebra 1. I have been a mathematics specialist for 8 years, which means I work with students and teachers to help grow their math brains and make math engaging and fun. I do not believe that math ability is inherited...just because your parents aren't good at math, doesn't mean that you will struggle too!

I enjoy working with all kinds of learners and teach my students that math is not just memorizing a series of steps, but instead it is a set of problem solving skills with many pathways to determine the solution.
