About Kevin

Bio

I served 24 yrs on active duty in the US Air Force as an instructor pilot, classroom instructor, fighter pilot, diplomat, and professor of national security affairs (graduate program).

I earned BS and MS degrees in Chemistry, MA degrees in Leadership/Management and Strategic Studies/Int'l Affairs, and a Secondary Education Teaching Credential. I taught 20 yrs full-time in Folsom-Cordova USD, 1997 - 2017, with 19 yrs at Folsom HS.

I'm married to a K-6 teacher. My two sons are...

I care about my students and want to help make them independent learners with good life skills and solid integrity. I know my subjects very well. I always tutored my HS students voluntarily during lunch/after school. I was a well-liked, sought-after teacher at Folsom HS.

I live in the Empire Ranch part of Folsom. I would gladly come to your home or meet at place of your choice (such as local library, grocery store, etc.).

I majored in Chemistry with a minor in Atmospheric Science. As an instructor pilot in Air Force jets, I taught many aspects of physical and earth science to American and international officer-students for 15 years, and then taught Space Policy and Operations in graduate school. Since then, I have taught Physical and Earth Science to HS freshmen for 20 years. I have lots of real-world hands-on experience.
