I have taught all ages from infants through adults since 1986. Providing each student with the necessary attention and guidance he or she needs is a special gift that I have. I will oftentimes take the time to isolate the problem to assist the student in moving forward in a faster manner.

For the last five years, I have been teaching adults in a virtual classroom how to edit court transcripts from their home. Oftentimes, this has involved managing 50 students at a time.
I have developed curriculum for the very young and for adults and senior adults to help them enjoy the learning process better.
For five years, I was the Literacy Liaison for a three-county area which included 15 rural libraries. I developed and implemented a variety of activities and events in those libraries and their communities which helped parents and children under the age of 5 years old prepare for elementary school and reading. I worked with Public Television and their programs to provide some of those programs.
I also provided several training classes for day care providers to help them work with the children in their care and to guide any behavior problems into workable solutions.
I have also taught all ages of Sunday School at churches and youth group.
I graduated from Mason City High School, Mason City, Iowa 50401.
I graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education.
