In 2023, I successfully completed the TCSOL program at Columbia University, obtaining a Chinese teacher qualification. This program not only provided me with a solid theoretical foundation in language education but also sharpened my practical skills in Chinese language instruction. My academic journey at Columbia has been transformative, and I am enthusiastic about bringing my enriched knowledge and skills to enhance your language education program.
From 2017 to 2020, I had the honor of teaching Chinese at a public elementary school in New Orleans. During this period, I honed my teaching style to be flexible and student-centered, customizing my approach to meet the individual needs of my diverse student body. I firmly believe in creating a joyful and engaging learning environment, and the results were evident as my students consistently demonstrated progress both academically and in their overall language proficiency.
Starting in August 2023, I began a new chapter in my teaching career at a private school in Philadelphia, where I teach Chinese language classes for both elementary and high school students. My teaching philosophy emphasizes innovative methods such as Rational Input and Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT).
