About Nick

Bio

I am currently an adjunct instructor of history at two universities. Many of my students do not like history because their previous experience has been simply memorizing dates and people. We focus on why something mattered and why we are taking the time to remember an event.

I also have teenage children so I understand what it means to help those who have not graduated from high school. I have one child who is Dyslexic and another who is ADD so I can fully appreciate teaching all...

I also have teenage children so I understand what it means to help those who have not graduated from high school. I have one child who is Dyslexic and another who is ADD so I can fully appreciate teaching all ages. And both of them have and "A" in history.

I call these "tipping points" and we think through what would have happened if a battle had a different outcome or a queen would have died sooner or an election was won or lost.

If a student can't tell me why something is important or what difference it makes then I have not done my job.

I have a Master's Degree in History from Mississippi College and a double-major undergraduate in history and political science from MC as well. I was appointed by the President of the United States to run a federal agency in Mississippi and have served at state and local levels of government for over 25 years. This gives me a great perspective and experience in government, political science, and history.

I love to teach and enjoy helping others learn more about their world.

I have a Master's Degree in history and an undergraduate degree with a double major in history and political science. I am an adjunct professor of history at two universities and very comfortable teaching and communicating online. I also tutor many high school students on their AP classes as well as specific subjects they want to cover.

For well over 20 years I have taught the Bible in many settings: in church, in seminars, in and in private schools. I am also an adjunct professor of history at two Christian universities and we integrate Scripture into all our lessons. When I teach world history there are many times we overlap into time periods from the Bible. Egyptians and Persians and Greeks and the Roman Empire are all groups and time periods that help to understand the background of the Bible.

I teach World and European History at the college level and tutor students at the high school level in both AP classes as well as covering particular subjects they need to better understand.
