Vocabulary

Vocabulary

I believe vocabulary learning is an important component in language learning. It is designed to successfully prepare students for their future endeavors in life and/or the all important SAT and ACT tests. Moreover, Building a strong SAT vocabulary is absolutely crucial for an elite score on the SAT exam, but students at any SAT score level will benefit greatly from adding new words to their vocabulary. Bottom Line, without vocabulary, you cannot form and understand sentences. If you don't know what the words you read mean, you can't understand what the material says. If you don't know what the terms mean, you can't understand English, math or science explanations. There are two basic and important reasons why we learn vocabulary: 1) We would like to be understood 2) we would also like to understand what others are trying to communicate to us. Through my edification and work experience, I have developed the skills and qualities necessary to be a successful instructor. I believe that I am a skilled professional that will add an optimistic proficiency to all my students.

Literature,

Literature

It is important to study literature in school for several reasons. First and foremost it will enhance your academic abilities in other areas. Reading literature from different time periods, from different places will only add to your understanding of the human experience. Many high schools now design their English/Literature classes to correspond with their History classes by approximate time and place in order to offer the student a deeper understanding of that time and place; you will learn how to critically think. When a student reads, a student also thinks. The critical and creative thought processes, discussions, and debates that result when a student and teacher analyze and interpret a piece of literature are boundless. Also, another important gift literature gives the student is an increased vocabulary. Through my edification and work experience, I have developed the skills and qualities necessary to be a successful literature instructor. I believe that I am a skilled professional that will add an optimistic proficiency to all my students.
SAT Writing,

SAT Writing

Writing is the primary basis upon which your work, your learning, and your intellect will be judged—in college, in the workplace, and in the community. Writing requires that you anticipate your readers’ needs. Your ability to do so demonstrates your intellectual flexibility and maturity. If there is anything that all teachers agree on, it's this: If you can't write well, you can't think well. If your writing is disorganized and muddy, your reader will most likely assume that your thoughts are, too. Writing well is an important skill in the "real world" as well as in school. Colleges recognize this fact, which is why they insisted on the new SAT Writing Test. Most colleges and universities use the SAT as one indicator of a student's readiness to do university-level work. Other criteria include class rank, marks (Grade Point Average), extracurricular activities, personal essays and recommendations. Through my edification and work experience, I have developed the skills and qualities necessary to be a successful writing instructor. I believe that I am a skilled professional that will add an optimistic proficiency to all my students.
