Awesome Tutor! Very helpful, and explanatory for all levels!

Jorge has been helping me in tremendous ways this semester! I am very shaky and have always struggled with python. Jorge makes sure to explain every step of the code and the purpose behind each function. Jorge's style is super efficient when dealing with such complicated material. I find myself better understanding the class material that is taught at such a high pace . I also see myself participating more in class and getting more comfortable with python.

Jorge Has Been Fantastic - a Very Committed and Competent Tutor

Jorge has spent several sessions helping our son with an intermediate programming course in Python through AoPS. We found Jorge because he had experience with tkInter which is a package from the Python library. Our son had a couple of large projects for the course and Jorge was very committed to going well above and beyond with our son to finish the very challenging coursework. During several sessions, Jorge was incredibly generous with his time in order to make sure our son understood the material and was able to finish his projects. Jorge is a committed, motivated, empathetic and very competent tutor. Our experience with Jorge was outstanding and we're grateful to have found him.

My son had several time-sensitive projects and assignments in Python leading up to his finals at school. He was performing at "meeting expectations" and needed a coordinated engagement covering concepts, applications and quality coding from a tutoring & peer review perspective. We had our first session with Jorge where he quickly came to speed on the help my son needed and engaged him very effectively for the first hour that led to additional sessions leading to a strong performance in the final submissions. Jorge was very professional, responsive and flexible with his availability and staying up late over a holiday weekend to help my son. His tutoring method was focused on making my son learn and independently develop his code with peer review that improved his understanding. I strongly recommend Jorge and plan to use his help for the AP Computer Science coursework.

No Show

My daughter had been making these little apps on code.org and was getting stuck at places and needed help. I sent jorge a request and told him that we were looking for someone who could help her couple of times a week consistently. We had a great first session, he taught my daughter code.org and javascript. he gave good feedback for her and she enjoyed the lesson. We scheduled another session for the following week but he never showed up (for online session). He sent him couple of messages as i saw him online on wyzant but he did not respond or bother to let us know why he didnt just cancel the session if he was busy. My daughter was pretty disappointed as she was really looking forward to the coding session and waited online for 25 minutes before we called it a day. I think that was highly unprofessional of him!
