I teach Advanced (honors) Chemistry, AP Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at a boarding school in Windsor, CT. I enjoy teaching and helping students achieve greater academic success. As a teacher, I challenge my students and make sure that they are all achieving at their highest potential. I teach Advanced (honors) Chemistry, AP Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at a boarding school in Windsor, CT. I enjoy teaching and helping students achieve greater academic success. As a teacher, I challenge my students and make sure that they are all achieving at their highest potential. I maintain a fun and positive learning environment with a strong sense of purpose and urgency in my classroom. My teaching style is very engaging; I use lots of mnemonics, analogies, real-life examples and applications in my lessons. I help students see the relevance of what they are learning in their everyday lives. I also equip students with strategies and ideas that help them master the material better and recall it more effortlessly in hopes of being more successful on assessments. In my very first year of teaching, I taught AP Chem at a public school in Houston, TX, where I was awarded the Science Teacher of the Year Award. I'm an alumnus of Middlebury College, VT where I majored in chemistry and minored in Math and German--I lived in Berlin, Germany for almost a year! I earned my master's degree in chemistry from the University of St. Joseph, CT.

I specialize in tutoring chemistry (regular, honors, AP, SAT, IB, Olympiads, Science Fairs, General Chemistry/College Intro to Chem, Organic Chem), math (Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, SAT, ACT, Differential Equations), and German.

Patient and engaging

My son was completely confused on a new concept introduced in Honors Chemistry and was getting disheartened. We reached out for “emergency help” and within 30 minutes with George he had mastered the concept and moved on to early learn the next day’s topic. More importantly, he said the session “was fun”! Will definitely be using through this year and into AP.

If you are trying to prepare for the AP exam and need a rocket boost - Mr. George is the tutor you need. Despite the best efforts of school teachers, when there are gaps left in AP teachings - it is of pure relief to have found someone so knowledgeable and responsive as Mr. George who can tailor the lesson to exactly what the student needs. He is an extraordinary AP Chem teacher.

Great tutor!

My son and I first met with Koby (George) to get a feel as to how he would approach tutoring a college level "concepts of chemistry" class. It was clear Koby was proficient with the subject matter and we retained him and prepared a plan of weekly tutoring to assist my son. Thus far all has gone very well. Koby has provided my son with the assistance he needed to better comprehend the subject matter. He is a very good communicator and my son enjoys and appreciates his teaching/tutoring methods. AAA+ decision in going with Koby. We will continue using his services throughout this semester.
