Hello! My name is Maureen and I have a Bachelors in Early Childhood, Masters in Elementary Reading, and over 24 years as a certified teacher in the classroom. I recently retired and am thrilled to offer reading and writing lessons online to PreKindergarten thru Second grade. I have 24 years of classroom experience as well as 4 years teaching online.
If you are looking for a teacher who has experience teaching reading and writing utilizing Wilson Fundamentals,, ABeCeDarian (OG strategies), and Science of Reading instruction, my lessons follow research based systematic phonics instruction. Students in my lessons receive the best methods, at their pace, and learn in a fun and engaging way.
My lessons follow a format students easily learn and incorporate the highest level of individualized instruction to help your child succeed. In order to identify their needs. our first lesson will focus on an intake assessment. Each lesson after, students will receive an individualized lesson developed just for them. An adult will be required to attend each lesson, however, they should allow their child to respond and interact on their own.
