For over 20 years, I've served students and families in Wisconsin, Arkansas, and Texas. My expertise in teaching reading and writing has allowed me to coach fellow teachers and provide professional development to district and state literacy leaders as well. My goal in tutoring is to build confidence as I build specific skills. Your child will become equipped with a set of independent strategies that he or she can transfer to all subjects and onto the next grade. I hold high expectations for all students and help parents track their child's growth. I specialize in providing support in language acquisition, early literacy, reading fluency and comprehension, writing composition, and English as a second language. Extremely knowledgeable and impactful

Takisha from day 1 has found a way to connect with my son. He is in 5 th grade and needing additional support with reading, writing and comprehension. She has tailored lesson plans to his needs and captured his attention making him exciting and interested in learning. My son truly enjoys learning with Takisha and I have seen growth in a short period of time. I am so happy and lucky to have found such a professional, thoughtful, and with such expertise to help my son. I highly recommend Takisha!

Great handwriting tutor
