As a rising junior at Colby College, I'm majoring in English Literature and Government. I have been a mentor for the last 7 years, so I've worked with young students to help them meaningfully engage both with academics and peers.
In my experience as a mentor and peer tutor, I've developed skills to connect and communicate well with writers of all ages. I'm passionate about writing and teaching and I'm eager to help students find their linguistic strengths!
After taking three AP English courses in high school and six high level English courses in college so far, I am well equipped to help writers at any academic level. In my training to become a peer tutor, I've learned how to connect with students of different backgrounds, including neurodiverse writers. Further, I feel comfortable working with writers at any stage of their writing (brainstorming, organization, transitions, grammar, coherence, etc.).
My primary availability is after 2:15 EST every day, and I'd love to meet virtually to work on English-related assignments. I'm welcoming, respectful, and enthusiastic about teaching, so feel free to reach out to set up a meeting and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
