Hello! I graduated from the University of Wisconsin/Madison with a degree in English. I also have over 30 years of experience studying and performing music from the piano, to saxophone, to clarinet and voice. In addition, I have worked in public schools as an assistant in Special Education classrooms. These experiences have taught me the importance of developing a passion for the consistent, hard work necessary to achieve your academic goals. I place special importance on improving one's concentration and rigor in order to discover the joy of learning.

I have 5 years of experience tutoring students for the ACT/SAT covering all subject areas. I use a combination of workbooks, online materials and practice tests to systematically increase your score. Students have not only improved their scores tremendously working with me, but they also increased their academic confidence overall spilling into their school work.

I place special importance on developing close and transparent relationships with your parents in order to incorporate them into the tutoring process. I see your parents' role as a crucial part of a sucessful tutoring experience.

Finally, I happily make myself available throughout the week to answer questions that may arise. The last thing I want to see is a student getting stuck in the middle of the week and waiting until the next session to resolve a problem. If I can take a few minutes to solve a problem and help a student continue to make progress during the week, it is well worth the time.
