I have been involved in educating people and helping them reach their full potential for more than 2 decades. Early in my career I worked with brain injured adults, but for the last 20+ years have been in schools as a speech pathologist. I love working with students of all ages, from elementary to adult. I've worked with students on executive functioning, test taking skills, speech/language, grammar and vocabulary. I have tutored SAT and English for foreign-born students over recent summers, and have taught Pronunciation classes at local community colleges to foreign born students.
In addition, I hold a Reading Teacher certificate and am certified to teach Italian 7-12 and Spanish 7-12. Over the years, I've taught Developmental Reading and Writing, and Italian at the college level. It's a joy to see my students reach their goals! In my spare time I love singing with various bands and musical groups, and spending time with family and friends.

As a speech pathologist, I have significant background and experience helping students born in countries other than the U.S. navigate these tests and skills.

I taught for Baltimore County Schools as an Italian and Spanish teacher for 4 years, have traveled in Italy extensively, and hold an MSDE certification in Italian.

Please contact me to talk about how I can help you reach your goals! I look forward to it.

Exceptional Tutor

Lori has come in and helped my son move from an assessment that had him 1.5 yrs behind his grade level in English, to successfully working on grade level in a few short months. I am extremely pleased with Loris knowledge in the subject and the techniques she uses with my son.

Very patient with my son and knows how to make learning fun!

She's teaching my son his high frequency words, along with helping him be able to identify the letters of the alphabet when shown! As she's tutoring mikey she also is helping him boost his confidence and build his self esteem by instructing Mikey to wait three seconds before answering a question instead of blurting out random words and or letters.
