I am looking to be a tutor for students who need support in their education. I truly love math and teaching and would love to support anyone feel more confident in their education and learning process.
I have a Bachelors through Western Governors University in Elementary Education (K-8), a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction through Western Governors University and a Masters in High School Mathematics.
I have taught for 5 years. I spent the first two years teaching grades 1st through 5th grade, then switched to teaching high school mathematics. This is the third year that I’m teaching high school. I have taught courses such as Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre Calculus, AP Calculus, Bridge to College, and Personal Finance. All of these courses build on each other so I’ve seen the progression of mathematics from Kindergarten all the way until 12th grade.
My approach to teaching is to support students through the conceptual process and then apply fluency to it. I want students to understand the mathematics not just memorize it, spit it out for the test, then never remember it again. I want students to really understand it and use it in their future courses.

A little about myself. I love being outdoors, watching movies with my two little dogs, building Lego sets, and crafting. My two dogs are tiny but they definitely rule the house.🙂
