About Panos

Bio

I have a Bachelors (Hons) degree in Biochemistry, with an emphasis to Biology and Pharmacology. After finishing my Ph.D. training in Neurobiology and Pharmacoloty at the University of Surrey, U.K., I moved to the USA and continued my training as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I have a Bachelors (Hons) degree in Biochemistry, with an emphasis to Biology and Pharmacology. After finishing my Ph.D. training in Neurobiology and Pharmacoloty at the University of Surrey, U.K., I moved to the USA and continued my training as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I have now been promoted to the position of an Assistant Professor of Neuropharmacology. During both my PhD and postdoctoral training (11+ years) I have been teaching Biology, Neuroscience and Pharmacology classes to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as elementary school students. I am currently teaching Biology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience, as well as any related subjects.

I have 13 years of teaching/tutoring experience in the fields of Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Neuroscience. In addition, I have 11+ years research experience with more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals in the fields of Neurobiology and Pharmacology. This experience gives me the ability to provide the students concrete examples of every-day life concepts related to the topics they need to learn, which greatly helps to further understand any difficult subjects they need to read from textbooks.

Panos is great! He reviewed concepts with me and worked hard to make extra materials for my Pharmacokinetics class. He was patient and answered all of my questions, and looked for different ways of explaining things. Overall, a great tutor and wonderful to work with!

I have a unit called Pharmacology in Nursing, I find it very hard understand as the medications are very complicated, but with Panos help but with Panos help to simplify every single medications and explain the mechanism of action of the medications and the advance effect. He is flexible, precise and professional.

I needed help with pharmaceutical calculations. Mr. Panos is a very wonderful teacher and he takes his time teaching you step by step. Know matter long it takes you he has the patient's of a saint. I'm horrible at math and by the time we got to question number 3 I was catching on on how to solve every problem going forward. I highly recommend him as a tutor.
