Hi! My name is Alyse and I would love to be your tutor by helping answer your English questions! I have a master's degree in library science from the University of British Columbia and graduated with a 3.8 GPA. I also have a bachelor's degree in film, and 5+ years of combined experience working as a tutor, teaching assistant, and instructional designer. As a tutor, I have worked with students ages 5 to 25 on concepts such as drafting papers, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, reading comprehension, text annotation, spelling, and phonemic awareness.

I have my CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) Level 1 Tutoring certificate, passed the CBEST: California Basic Education Skills Test, and have tutored/been a teaching assistant in a kindergarten/first-grade classroom for 5 years with the California public school system. I have also tutored/been a teaching assistant for two first-year college-level English courses for 1 year with the California Community College system.
