Hello, thanks for looking at my profile! As a quick overview of who I am, I'm a current first year doctoral student in a Clinical Psychology Program. I graduated from the University of Maryland College Park where I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I have been on Dean's List for most of my undergraduate career and have a lot of experience with tutoring and the principles of education. During my undergraduate years, I was a teaching assistant for a Psychology of Relationships course.

I have always enjoyed being a supportive academic resource for my peers and other students. One of my strengths is that I am able to adapt to each unique individual's needs and explain concepts in terms which makes the most sense to them. I believe that realizing when we need some extra support is imperative to success, and I am enthusiastic about being a tool to help you achieve your goals. I take pride in taking the time to assess the student's needs and goals, and create a concrete plan to follow through on reaching them. I have a good track record of success with my students, particularly with psychology topics. I have helped students who come to me with failing grades reach B's and A's by the end of the term. I take pride in seeing them grow and understand that my role is more than just teaching the concepts, but also empowering students to have the confidence to succeed long after our session is over.

I have strong familiarity with the format of the GRE, as well as typical styles of questions they tend to ask. I scored in the 88th percentile for the Verbal portion and the 98th percentile for the Writing portion. I understand how to navigate the seemingly complex world of the GRE and am able to provide strategies to succeed at conquering this exam.

As a psychology major, I have maintained around a 3.8 GPA in my psychology classes, indicating my strong understanding of the material and ability to apply it to unique situations. I have also been accepted to graduate school in clinical psychology, which further atte

Great first session

Grace made the fractions and word problems easy to breakdown and think about. She was patient and provided time for my daughter to solve on own, encourage her, and nicely corrected. Great first session and we look forward to more!

ACT Reading

Grace was very good. She made me more comfortable with ACT test. I am scheduling more sessions with her. She helped me grab the concepts much easier and she has taken the ACT so she understands.

Patient, helpful tutor

Grace taught me how to write a movie review. I don't think I could ask many good questions because I don't know much about movie reviews.

Pre-adolescence and adolescences

Extremely helpful! Explained everything in detail and had patience with me. She showed me visuals of charts which really helped me. We reviewed adolescents in the school, facing the future: values and traditions, and positive development in adolescence.

Amazing!

Grace really helped me put my thoughts on paper and brainstorm new ideas for an experimental psych paper I was struggling with. She was extremely helpful and even jotted down notes, which helped me a lot since I’m more of a visual person. I can’t thank her enough for her time and effort!
