Hello! I have 8+ years experiences as a teaching artist and educator. I like to teach simply, but with fun and a sense of humor. My experience ranges from after-school clubs and literacy programs for youth ranging from preK to 12th grade including CMSD Schools (including a long-term partnership with a STEM School), Head Starts and various other short-term engagements in various other districts.

Hello! I have 8+ years experiences as a teaching artist and educator. I like to teach simply, but with fun and a sense of humor. My experience ranges from after-school clubs and literacy programs for youth ranging from preK to 12th grade including CMSD Schools (including a long-term partnership with a STEM School), Head Starts and various other short-term engagements in various other districts.

I'm a teaching artist; this means my training is centered around using the performing arts as a teaching tool, especially for retention and comprehension in ELA/reading/public speaking. This training comes from my degree in Youth Theater from BGSU, additional trainings from Playhouse Square, Center for Arts-Inspired Learning, and Dance Exchange. I am also a yoga instructor and love to integrate mindfulness exercises into my instruction to increase focus and reduce anxiety during learning. My experience ranges from after-school clubs and literacy programs for youth ranging from preK to 12th grade.

I have a degree in Theater from Bowling Green State University, and have continued to study at LaMama Umbria (Spoleto, Italy) and NaCl Theatre in Highland Lake, NY. I continue to act professionally throughout Cleveland, OH. Techniques in relaxation and mind/body awareness also come into play through my 200 hour certification in yoga and meditation from Puma Yoga, with additional training through Green Tara, Insight Meditation Center in Barre, MA.

Venues for this type of speaking include Cleveland Museum of Art and Playhouse Square (for the PNC Grow Up Great Program) and have coached public school educators in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and the Council for Economic Opportunities of Greater Cleveland in their presentation style and technique. Techniques for teaching students' preparation and relaxation prior speaking also come into play through my 200 hour certification in yoga and meditation from Puma Yoga.
