I'm a newly minted master of biomedical science, currently in the process of applying for medical school. While I haven't formally taught or tutored, I have deeply enjoyed leading study groups since high school through college and graduate school. I honestly believe that being able to teach is one of the best qualifications for becoming a doctor, because being able to educate a patient is arguably the greatest challenge and most important job a doctor has. As the old adage goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and being able to teach patients how to maintain a healthy lifestyle is of the utmost importance. Moreover, patients are often given prescriptions and treatments without much explanation of why they are given, and what explanations they are given they can be difficult for a layperson to understand. By tutoring, I hope to better learn and understand how to communicate and teach difficult material as simply as possible, so that everyone can understand, in the hopes that someday I'll be able to do the same for my future patients.

As of now, I have both a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (with a minor in nutrition) and a Master's of Biomedical Science, and I have enjoyed countless hours of classes in biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and microbiology. These courses have given me the background to teach a wide variety of life science subjects since I've been a student myself in these subjects, and through both individual and group study sessions I have learned many techniques to learning the material, which I look forward to passing on to my students.

I may be new, but I hope you'll give me a chance to work with you! I look forward to learning and relearning whatever subjects you need help in right alongside you, and make things as easy for you to learn as possible!

Best Tutor!

Margaret is the best person to go to for any sort of science exam. She helped my daughter tremendously with AP biology and Psychology. Her patience and sense of humor made the subjects easy for my daughter to understand. I’m truly astonished by the progress she’s made thus far with Margaret. If you’re looking for a tutor who is knowledgeable, patient, and kind, Margaret is your person. I would recommend her to anyone!
