I often work in Photoshop to create mood/theme boards, color-renderings of fashion illustrations and technical flat sketches, repeating (seamless) pattern designs that are photo-realistic, "Frankensteining" furniture for interior design projects, dimensional renderings showing perspective, shading, and photo-real materials and textures. I have experience in helping students create portfolio work for different majors.

During my 4 years of study at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, I learned to use Adobe Illustrator to draw technical flat drawings of garments. These drawings accurately show the construction of a garment but in miniature—usually 1/8 scale. They are an important part of the technical product design process as they become incorporated into a technical package that defines precisely the materials, dimensions, and construction involved in making the garment. The technical package communicates this precise information to the factory which will sew the product.

I have been creating educational, marketing, and professional materials using a variety of programs. Desktop publishing typically involves a combination of words (and sometimes numbers), tables, images, and graphics. I use Microsoft Word or Google Docs to create written materials with tables, and limited graphics and images embedded. I use Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to create any financial or numerical data. For larger documents with better positioning options, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or Adobe Express. I also use Adobe Illustrator to create vector graphics. For books and kits requiring heavy addition of images and/or page and chapter control and layout options such as bleed and facing pages, I use InDesign.

I learned about textile science as a part of my 4 year fashion design program. As a fashion designer, it's vital to know the characteristics of the fabrics you use to create garments. How the fabrics are created, and from what fibers, how they perform, launder, affect the body, impact the planet etc. all play into the success and identity of your brand.

Extreme knowledge in all facets of fashion, very pleasant, and patient

I have used tutors for 10 years and quite often they are very knowledgeable but just can’t teach. Victoria is highly knowledgeable and an amazing teacher. Victoria is truly special because it is rare to find someone that listens. The combination of a tutor that is knowledgeable, can teach and listens is the most efficient with the best results. In 10 years I have only come across 2 and Victoria is one of them
